The golf team at Cumberland Academy of Georgia provides students with the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of golf in a supportive and inclusive environment. Coaches focus on teaching the fundamentals of golf, from proper swing techniques to course management, ensuring that each student can progress at their own pace. The team encourages personal growth and discipline, emphasizing the importance of practice and perseverance in achieving individual goals. Participation in the golf team also fosters a sense of camaraderie among students, as they support each other both on and off the course. Through this program, students gain not only golf skills but also life lessons in patience, focus, and sportsmanship.
The teachers are effective, empathetic and set high standards for their students.A big plus at the school is the large counseling staff available to help students and their families. At Cumberland they educate the whole child. We love the school and are impressed with how the administration, teachers and staff members continually work to improve the school. We moved from Birmingham, Alabama, so our daughter could attend. We also lived in Washington, DC for many years, and Cumberland Academy of Georgia is the best school for special needs that our daughter has attended.
