Cumberland Academy of Georgia is fully accredited and utilizes the Georgia Performance Standards as the basis for its curriculum content. Teachers and staff implement research based curriculum that recognizes the educational needs of all students, respects diversity and fosters lifelong learning skills. This is done through cooperative learning and active hands-on techniques that are integrated into all subject areas along with co-curricular activities. This best practices curriculum infuses the creative arts as well as problem solving, social skills, critical thinking and decision making skills.

Our faculty and staff believe each child has strengths to develop throughout his/her school life. Faculty and staff continually learn from each other, and therefore bring to our students a model for teaching respect and acceptance of others.
