Post Graduate
Students enter our “Creating Futures” program as early as 8th grade to assist them in their journey to becoming independent adults and prepare them for college or career.
As students progress through high school, Cumberland Academy of Georgia is dedicated to offering tailored resources and support to help each student envision and achieve their future goals. We collaborate with business partners to provide employment opportunities, giving students practical work experience to enhance their independence. Additionally, partnerships with colleges and local community organizations offer guidance on higher education and life skills, ensuring both students and parents are equipped to plan a successful pathway to independence and long-term success. Through this comprehensive approach, Cumberland empowers students to confidently transition into adulthood.
Creating Futures is a comprehensive college and career readiness program at Cumberland Academy of Georgia, designed specifically for our students and their families. This all-encompassing initiative helps students explore their interests, identify career pathways, and prepare for college through a range of personalized services. Highlights of the program include summer programs that allow students to gain valuable experience, on-site ACT testing to streamline the college application process, and dual enrollment opportunities with partner institutions to help students earn college credits while still in high school. Additionally, the program offers alumni mentoring for guidance from those who have successfully navigated similar paths, a driving program to promote independence, and overnight college tours to give students firsthand exposure to campus life. With dedicated college counseling throughout, Creating Futures equips students with the tools and resources needed to confidently pursue their post-secondary goals.
