cag-technology

As an innovative leader, Cumberland Academy of Georgia was the first special needs private school in Georgia to adopt Chromebooks and Google Classroom for each student. We also engage in a research based framework entitled Universal Design for Learning model, and offer assistive technology as part of our school culture.

We offer:

  • Assistive Technology as a part of our commitment to Universal Design for Learning.
  • We believe in empowering our students to utilize assistive technology, and technology is a powerful tool for learning.
  • Students are offered a variety of tools to assist with learning. A few examples are:
      • High Contrast Screen
      • Screen Magnifier
      • Predictive Keyboard
      • Speech to Text for writing assignments
      • Text to Speech/audio books for reading assignments

My son loves Cumberland Academy of Georgia. We moved from out of state so he could attend this amazing and supportive school. The teachers get to know their students well and teach to their learning styles. My son also takes part in a lot of the sports, clubs, and extra curricular activities. After years of fighting school systems for an appropriate education for my son, we have finally found it at Cumberland.
