The cross country team at Cumberland Academy of Georgia offers students a chance to challenge themselves through long-distance running in a supportive and encouraging environment. Coaches focus on building endurance, proper running techniques, and mental toughness, helping each runner improve their performance over time. The program emphasizes personal growth, with students setting and achieving individual goals while also contributing to the team’s collective success. Participation in cross country promotes physical fitness, resilience, and a strong sense of community among team members. Through practices and races, students develop lasting friendships, confidence, and a love for the sport that extends beyond their school years.

My Best Memory was The Overnight Trip because we got the freedom to go into the water, swim in it, and also go tubing (I was too afraid, so I didn’t tube). The Overnight Trip was kind of like a sleepover, which is what I’m interested in so far, like finally letting your home-self out instead of your school-self. It also had the choice of bringing devices, which was the 2nd best, other than going in the water and having my favorite foods for every meal time. Device time was the 2nd best because I mean, hey, I like having my device everywhere, so does everybody. The Movie Theater was good, I mean, the movie wasn’t one of my favorites, but it was okay at least. I should have gotten the kids’ food for the theater instead of just the soda. I love soda, so that’s the reason I just picked a cup of Coke. That is The Best School Time of my Whole Life.
