Cumberland and Casino Junket Club hosted our second annual Chip Fore Charity Golf Tournament at the prestigious St. Ives Country Club. Cumberland aimed to raise money for a sensory playground. Golfers were greeted with a hot breakfast and rising country music star Eric Dodd sang a beautiful rendition of the national anthem before hitting the greens. Aside from lovely weather and St. Ives’ picturesque course, golfers were able to rub elbows with former NFL greats Solomon Brannon, Jeff Yeates, Flipper Anderson, and Billy “White Shoes” Johnson. When participants weren’t setting up for the perfect shot, they were able to bid on some exciting auction items, signed basketballs from Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, a cowboy hat signed by Willie Nelson, a jersey signed by Freddie Freeman, tickets to George Straits’ upcoming concert, and more. A special thank you to the board members, sponsors, volunteers, and community for assisting us with such a successful and memorable event. Please look for information on next year’s event and don’t miss your opportunity to join the fun.
We missed our 2020 Spring Gala, which was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. We are hoping to share more information about a Spring 2022 Gala soon – keep your eyes out for updates!
In the meantime, take a look at some photos of our Chip Fore Charity golf tournament held on November 1, 2021.
