Cathi Arora joined the Cumberland Advancement Team after 11 years as a volunteer. While her son Shale, a 2018 Graduate was a student, she helped with fundraising, teacher appreciation, and strategic planning.
She has over 25 years of experience in communications, public affairs, and fundraising. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Arora moved to Charleston, S.C., after college where she worked for the Medical University of South Carolina and the Charleston County School District. She has been in the Atlanta area for the past two decades. During that time, she worked for Heery International and IPG. She left the corporate world to spend more time with her family but still remained an active volunteer as PTA president, Huntcliff Swim and Tennis Club President, freelance writer, and potter. Ms. Arora holds a BS in journalism from Ohio University and an MPA from the College of Charleston.
Ms. Arora is also the Executive Director of the Sandy Springs Tennis Association, which runs the after-school program Kids-Luv-Tennis. She and her husband Manny live in Sandy Springs with their dogs Bisky and Rafa. Their son Shale attends Beacon College and daughter Avani attends Washington University. They have traveled extensively including England, France, Korea, China, Singapore, India, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
